Trust & Safety
Last updated: September 6, 2026
Roadside service involves real people, real vehicles, and real roads. These are the standards and safeguards TowGrid applies across the marketplace.
Provider Requirements
Every provider on TowGrid must complete a full profile before receiving job offers: verified contact information and a designated primary phone for assignment alerts, service and coverage areas, business hours, truck and driver availability, insurance information, and DOT numbers where applicable. Providers with incomplete profiles are automatically excluded from matching.
Secure, Prepaid Jobs
All jobs are prepaid through our payment processor before dispatch. No cash changes hands at the roadside, and providers are paid automatically after completion. This protects both customers and providers from payment disputes at the scene.
Job Tracking and Records
Every job generates a time-stamped status history — requested, paid, dispatched, accepted, en route, completed — along with photos, invoices, and tax records. This audit trail is available to the customer, the provider, and our support team.
Safe Conduct at the Roadside
If you are stranded, move to a safe location away from traffic when possible, turn on hazard lights, and follow the provider's instructions. If you ever feel unsafe during a job, call 911 first, then contact us.
Reporting a Problem
Report unsafe conduct, fraud, harassment, or policy violations through our contact form by selecting the "Trust & safety" topic. Include your job ID if available. We review every report and may suspend accounts while investigating.
